Many of us believe that life is a journey of ups and downs—Sukh and Dukh, happiness and sorrow, success and failure. We often attribute these experiences to our karma, believing that what happens to us is a consequence of what we have done in the past. Life is full of challenges, and perhaps that is simply the way life is meant to be.
In practical life, there seems to be no such thing as a perfect life. Life is like a bouquet of roses and thorns. There are moments of joy, achievement and celebration, but there are also moments of pain, disappointment and struggle. Some people even say, “70% of my life is perfect.” But think about it—if 70% is perfect, it also means that 30% is not. And therefore, by definition, life is not perfect.
So, is a perfect life actually a myth?
Perhaps the real question is: What is our identification? Are we identified with the BME—Body, Mind and Ego—or have we realized that we are the Soul, a manifestation of SIP?
As long as we live with BME identification, we cannot experience life as perfect. The body experiences pleasure and pain. The mind constantly moves between happiness and sorrow, likes and dislikes. The ego judges, compares, desires and resists. As long as we identify ourselves with the BME, life will inevitably appear imperfect.
But when we awaken to the realization that we are the Soul, a manifestation of SIP, our experience of life transforms. We begin to recognize, “I am SIP, and everyone and everything around me is SIP.”
According to the AiR Philosophy, as one awakens and becomes enlightened, the very experience of life transforms. For one established in SIP consciousness, life is perfect. The ultimate shift is from living with BME identification to living with the realization that we are SIP.
This is the realization that life is beautiful—living as SIP, for SIP, and as a dedicated divine instrument.
When we live in this consciousness, we realize that life was perfect all along.
