Believing in God is only the first step. Billions believe, many pray, and some develop faith and hope. But if belief alone could lead to God-Realization, the spiritual journey would end there.
The ladder begins with Belief, Prayer, Faith, Hope, Trust and Enthusiasm. These six steps strengthen our connection with the Divine. The seventh is Love—developing a deep longing for God.
But love must evolve into seeking. The eighth step is the Quest to Realize God, followed by Silence, Meditation and Contemplation. The tenth is finding a Guru, an Enlightened Master who can guide us beyond intellectual understanding.
With guidance comes the eleventh step: Overcoming Ignorance. We then understand and transcend the Law of Karma, realizing that we are not merely the body and mind performing actions.
The thirteenth step is Self-Realization—knowing that we are the Soul. The fourteenth is winning the war against the Mind and Ego (ME). This opens the door to the fifteenth step, Liberation from ignorance and the cycle of death and rebirth.
The sixteenth and ultimate step is Unification with the Divine—God-Realization.
The principle is simple: Don’t merely believe in God. Realize God.
The ladder is long, but every conscious step takes us closer to the ultimate Truth.
